Meet the Candidates with Alicia Erickson

Lawrence resident and active member of Save Our Schools is hosting a personal event on Sunday, June 25 at 10 a.m. at the ECM, 1204 Oread Ave., to meet the candidates she is supporting for the upcoming election to the USD497 Board of Education. This event is not an official Save Our Schools 497 event, but rather a personal event extended to the community.

In addition to hosting candidates with the Kansans United for Public Schools organization, Carole Cadue Blackwood , Yolanda Franklin, Ariel Miner, and Kevin Coronado, she is inviting Anne Costello who is running individually and whom I know from having served together on the Future Planning Committee.

Alicia said, “These 5 candidates are the ones that most closely align with my vision and values for the future of USD 497. I want everyone to have the opportunity to hear from these passionate and hard-working individuals and ask them questions. Please join me for some coffee and donuts and conversation. The entire family is welcome and there will be an area in the room the kids can play and color during the event.”

If you are unable to attend in person there is a Zoom link available:
